Kanda Pohe




 

Kanda Pohe
Kanda Pohe is served during breakfast or evening snack. It is spicy tasty poha dish. It is very common  among maharashtrians to serve kanda pohe to guests.
Ingredients:
2 cups Jada/thick  poha
1 medium size Onion
2 Green chili
½ cup Grated coconut
2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
½ tsp Turmeric powder
½ tsp Mustard seeds
½ tsp Cumin seeds
5-6 curry leaves/Kadipatta
2 tsp Sugar
1 tbsp Oil
Salt
 
 
 
Method:
First clean poha, wash, drain and keep aside. Cut onions, green chili and coriander leaves.
In a pan heat oil and add mustard seeds, after they splutter add cumin seeds, green chili and kadipatta. Then add onions and sauté it till brown. Add turmeric powder and salt.
Now add poha and mix well. Lastly add sugar, grated coconut and coriander leaves.
Cover the pan and allow to cook on low flame for 2-3 minutes.
