Kulith Pithale/Horse gram curry
Ingredients
1/2 cup horse gram flour( kulith pith), 1 medium size onion, 3- 4 medium hot green chilies, 1-2 dried kokam halves, 2- 3tbsp grated fresh coconut, coriander leaves, 5-6 curry leaves, 4-5 tbsp. oil, ¼ tsp of  mustard seeds, ¼ tsp of jeera/ cumin seeds, pinch of turmeric, 4 cups of water, salt to taste.
 
Method:  Finely chop onion, coriander leaves and green chilies. Heat oil in a sauce pan or kadhai. Add mustard seeds, once mustard seeds start to crack/splutter add cumin seeds followed by curry leaves and followed by chilies. Add chopped onion and fry till onion turns pink, transparent. Add pinch of turmeric and water. Add kokam and bring the whole content to boil. When bubbles start coming on the surface, at this point, gradually add horse gram flour. Stir continuously to avoid forming lumps. Cook it covered for 15 minutes till desired consistency (it should not be too thick or too watery). Stir in between to avoid sticking to the pan. Add salt to taste. Garnish with coriander leaves. Serve hot with rice or bakari.
