Ingredients:
- 1 Cup Basamati Rice
- 1 cup thck coconut milk
- 1 tbsp. raisins
- 1/2 tsp cardmom powder
- 1/4 tsp of salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 6 cloves
- 1 tbsp cashew nuts or almond
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg powder
- 1 tbsp clarified butter (ghee)
- 1 cup of water
- Wash Rice and soak for 1 hour in water. Then drain.
- Heat clarified butter in a skillet and when it is hot, add cloves and rice.
- Stir-fry for 2 minutes.
- Add 1 cups of boiling water and parboil the rice.
- Add coconut milk and salt.
- Cook over low heat until rice is soft and the liquid evoparates.
- Add sugar, cashew nuts,cardmom and nutmeg powder.
- Cook till dry.
